Chengdu j-20 is a
multi-role stealth, single seat, fighter aircraft, Chengdu Aircraft Industry
(CAIG) is a Chinese company that manufactured the fighter jet Chengdu J-20.
It is built for the
People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Its kid of a fighter jet that is
a fifth-generation aircraft. Black Eagle name was given by the Nato reporting. In
November 2010 two prototypes were developed for ground and aerial testing.
J-20 fighter jets Potential
customers are in Pakistan, The Latin America, Middle East, The South East Asia
and African countries.
Chengdu J-20 design:
Even in the Hostile
environments the fighter jet J-20 Chengdu is designed to execute the ground
attack missions. With the help of its delta wings the aircraft J-20 can reach
the higher altitudes in supersonic speeds.
F-22 Raptor and Sukhoi
T-50 are smaller than the Chengdu J-20 fighter jet. The rear section of the Chengdu
j-20 looks like a fighter jet Sukhoi T-50 and the front portion of the prototype
looks similar to the fighter jet F-22 Raptor.
J-20 development:
It is not chosen by China
to participate in the joint development of fifth generation fighter aircraft by
India and Russia as Russia was seen to be the more profitable with the
participation of the China. As compared to the Russian Aircraft an effort to
build a fifth generation aircraft, under the J-XXX programme in late 1990s the
CAIG started the development of the J-20 fighter jet.

Project 718, carried for the PLAAF the J-XX programme depicts the development
of the fourth generation and the fifth generation aircraft.
In August 2008
CAIG was selected as the prime contractor for the program.
It was conducted in December 2020 the high speed taxiing testing
of the fighter aircraft. In January 2011 the maiden flight was completed.
